The Bridge occurrence is located on the southeastern side of the Kennedy River, immediately east of a logging road bridge crossing the river and approximately 2 kilometres north of Kennedy Lake and 24 kilometres north-northeast of Ucluelet, B.C.

The area is underlain by massive fine-grained andesitic flows of the Upper Triassic Karmutsen Formation (Vancouver Group), and dacite lapilli tuff, probably of Tertiary age. Northeast striking, steeply dipping joints are widespread and are frequently dilated and in-filled with auriferous quartz veinlets. The veinlets dip steeply and vary from 0.1 to 10 centimetres in width. Individual veins comprise coarsely crystalline quartz, approximately 10 per cent calcite and up to 2 per cent sulphides, including pyrrhotite, pyrite, chalcopyrite, arsenopyrite and sphalerite.

Locally, a zone of thirteen northeast striking quartz veins occurs over a 15 by 75 metre area and comprise 1.06 per cent of the andesite host rock. In 1987, one sample of vein material over 3 metres assayed 0.765 gram per tonne gold (Assessment Report 16473).

In 2010, Gonzaga Resources completed a program of rock and soil sampling and an induced polarization survey on the area. During 2011 through 2014, Gonzaga Resources Ltd. completed programs of rock and soil sampling on the area, outlining an anomalous gold area south of the WESTERING 2 occurrence.

In 1987, Kerr Addison Mines completed a program of rock and soil sampling and geological mapping on the area as the Westering property. In 1992, W. Guppy completed a program of rock, silt and soil geochemical sampling and a ground electromagnetic survey. In 2008, Kennedy Lake Syndicate completed a program of prospecting on the area as a part of the Kennedy Lake project.

In 2010, Gonzaga Resources completed a program of rock and soil sampling and an induced polarization survey on the area. During 2011 through 2014, Gonzaga Resources Ltd. completed programs of rock and soil sampling on the area, outlining an anomalous gold area approximately 0.5 kilometre south-southwest of the BRIDGE occurrence.
